Smells just like Europe

When product planners at Kia's Frankfurt r&d center were working on the Cee'd lower-medium model they discovered an unexpected issue. Interior components needed to be given a pleasing Euro-smell because the European nose is "quite different" from the Korean, says department manager David Labrosse.

"Parisian cafe? English garden? Munich bierkeller? None of those," Labrosse says. "It's neutral and difficult to quantify."

Kia's solution?
