THOSE FISHING HOT SPOTS CAN BE FOUND ON ICE, TOO.(Sports)

A single boat is anchored over an area which is totally void of structure or fish. Another party moves into the same vicinity thinking the first angler knows what he is doing.

Before long half of the fishing boats on that end of the lake are packed into the same unproductive spot where they spend the remainder of the morning catching nothing.

There are times when a sizeable area will hold enough fish to legitimately draw a crowd but generally the true hot spots are very small, a fact that continues into the cold weather.
